    Re: rego+licence

    Evening slick,
    From Qld Tpt Handbook, page7:
All boats fitted with a motor or aux engine of over 4HP require registration.
    Page 41:
A licence is required when operating a boat powered by a motor over 4.5KW (6HP) that is capable of speeds over 10 knots & has a planing hull.
The book is free from Qld Tpt offices. May save you some $$$$ if you are not complying.

Hi Slick...A 12 foot tinny with a 6hp motor is a good start to boating......This is how i started in boating and had many happy hours out on the water.....good luck with what you buy and have fun.

    Hi slick,
A lot of the blokes here can use a deckie on occasion. Put up a post showing your availability & you may get a few trips out. There are some very experienced people on this site.
