    Tohatsu Motors

Hey guys, At the Brissie boat show they are selling 90hp carby oil inj 2-stroke tohatsus for $8000 fitted . At that price I am thinking of swapping my 90 yammy over but I don't know much about Tohatsus. Anyone out there have anything good or bad to say about them I would appreciate the advice.

    Good donks.
Said to be a bit noisier than the Yammie and not as refined.
But for the money they are good buying and the performance is great.
If the Yammie is a good goer you will have no trouble selling it in the trading post at a better price than the trade in.
Good midrange engines are hard to come by.
    I say go hard.
    Cheers Kev.

Tohatsu have been around for a long time and in the past only made outboards for the pro market, I've had a Suzuki, Johnson and now I own a Tohatsu 90 myself. I had met quite a few people on the ramps with tohatsu's and I always enquired how they were and these people would buy Tohatsu time and time again. As for me I am still running mine in actually going for the 10 hour service next week or so but I'm sure she will serve me well.
    Cheers

No complaints from mine, though if you saw my old engines thats not saying much but seriously when i bought it they said itll always go on the third pull and it always has, runs like clockwork, truly the landrover of outboards (couldnt kill it with a big stick)
    cheers
