Can someone point me in the direction of a good fuel line pressure bulb.Mine dont last very long, the last one falling apart before I even put fuel through it, made in Taiwan. Any similar problems? Any recommendations?

Hi David,
Bust out. Buy a genuine bulb put out by your O/B maker. I have a Mariner & only use genuine fittings on my fuel line. Stay away from generic type shit in marine shops.
If your dealer says the Taiwanese or PRC stuff is just as good then find another dealer. The real stuff is dearer but it works.

Many thanks for the info. Have replaced about 6 of these over 3 years, at $15 per throw. I will sus out Yamaha, as I have the last of the Mariners made by Yamaha in the 80's

the omc branded ones seem o/k.
come with about 1/2 meter of hose each end
and no problems so far.
the main problem with the cheapies is the check
valves are sticky, imho.
try using it vertically, inlet down and outlet up,
that might help if your primer bulb is dodgy.
My problem is not the operation , but the fact that they fall apart where the bulb tapers down,and meets the fuel line, inlet and outlet.
Just out of interest, is there another type of priming system.

Get an OMC primer bulb. I had one on our old Yamaha & they are way better.
Keep the bugga's outa the sun.

Hey Phill, I never leave them in the sun, and the last one cracked up even before use, after it was installed on the fuel line.Never had a drop of fuel through it. I was a bit p'd off I can tell you

Tempo 3000 series ultra flow Have a good reputation.
I have had one in my tinny for about 2 years its never been stored under cover and still shows no sign of degradation.
Not cheap but seems to handle it. Manufacturers claim that they remain pliable and flexible from cold of arctic to heat of tropics and they are covered by a 2 year warranty.
