Tohatsu 50hp 2000 model info ?

Would anyone have any info (good or bad) about tohatsu 50hp outboards 2000 model, Any comments would be much appreciated.

havent' had one or tryed one but as my mate is the dealer for port maquarie and in the last 6 mounths he has put twin 50hp 2 st on the fisheriys boat twin 90hp 4 st on the waterways boat and a 40 2st on our vmr rubber duckie they i would think they must be a pretty good motor

I had a 15hp 00,40hp 01,50hp 02,70hp 03 have found them a good reliable motor

A guy at my work has had twin 50 tohatsu motors on his boat for some years now......he says they are EXCELLENT....START FIRST TIME EVERY TIME!!

I got a feb 2002 25 hp not sure how many hrs it has dun but Im on my fouth 4L of oil and has not missed a beat touch wood.
It does 51km/hr on a 3.95 tinny, love it.
