I have just purchased a 2nd hand seahunter 4.6 runabout.
The paintwork is a bit rough.
Was wondering whats the easiest way to touch up with out
blasting back and total repaint (not worth it!)
I have been told that patio paint in spray cans like colourbond
touch up paint will work, as it is for painting over existing painted aluminium.
Is this correct?
Also how can I spray filler/bog the scratches. Just so I can sand back to flush and then colour over that.
Don't want to go over the top and I don't expect a perfect
mirror finish. Just to clean it up a bit.
Looks alright from that angle.
I repainted an alluminium boat once and stripped the old paint off with paint stripper and highpressure water.
Sand blasting the pressed alloy was not recomended to me.
I used an etch primer and painted it with two pack.
I only ended up using about 2 ltrs of paint plus the hardener about 1 liter. Came up OK what do you think?

The problem with a touch up is that it can look just as bad if not worse than before starting, depending on the degree of damage, where it is etc etc. Aerosol sprays althour providing fairly good caverage will give a relatively "soft" finnish.
It is also important to remember that the top coat is only as good as the preperation coats
