Re: flightcraft boats
G'day frenzy, havent owned a flightcraft but looked closely at a 5.4 sports when shopping for a craft about 8 yrs ago. Thought it was a fantasic looking boat and almost purchased it until a CruiseCraft Reef Finder popped up. Only chose the Cruisecraft because it had more extras on it and had a slightly deeper hull. Have spoken to owners of the 5.4 and all have been rapt with their machines. Good quality boats in my opinion

Re: flightcraft boats
Hi Frenzy,
I have had mine for nearly 2 years & love it. For it's size it is extremely wide & very stable. It makes a great off shore fishing boat that is also easy to tow. It has a good amount of storage too.
You could take 4 adults fishing no problem. They are licenced to carry 7.
The only thing is it's tank isn't very big so you need to pack 3 or 4 jerry cans when going off shore.
If you have the full centre section of the bed in the cabin it makes a very comfortable sleep for 2 adults. We stay in it over night on the water & also instead of hotels whenever we go up or down the coast.
I got mine for $13,000. They range from this to about $16,000.
I Highly recommend getting one. But shop around for one that has been looked after & take it for a test spin before purchasing.
I looked at a lot of other makes but this one really stood out for size & value for money. I wouldn't recommend buying from a dealer. You will get one $2,000 to $3,000 cheaper if you buy private.
Hope this helps.

Re: flightcraft boats
A good boat that is very popular in VIC. Very beamy, just like its little brother the 4.75 (which came in a cuddy and a runabout).
The 5.4's hold their value quite well and in VIC can typically fetch 15K or a bit more. Up north it should be several thousand cheaper.
Cheers
