Question for Yamaha 4 stroke owners

Am currently installing an F115. When I turn on the key, no warning lights come on on the tacho (which is an analogue guage). Is this right? On my old Y115 2 stroke, you'd get warning lights for a few seconds, then a green light.
    Thanks in advance,
    Yockman

Yockman, It may pay to drop a call to the mob you got the motor from, see what they say.
I can't help with what it is supposed to do, but this may be a direction to go in.

Hi Yockman, sorry cannot help but it does make sense that they should light up as a visual check. Try www.iboats.com and search the Yamaha forum or throw a post up, I am sure you will get an answer there. nq

Er, well, ahem. Problem solved. Wire in wrong place, despite me looking at every wire 50,000 times. Al those piggyback wires in the back of those yammie gauges !@#$. Looks real good now, 2 red warning lights for a few seconds, turn that key and pow!
    Cheers,
