Secure Car/Trailer lockups for overnight trips

    Hi Guys,

lookin for a place to leave my 4x4 and boat trailer when going for overnight trips to Moreton/Stradie. It's not a regular thing so I don't want to pay for a membership to an organization (Moreton Trailer boat club). Would like something on the southside of Brisbane

Happy to pay a fair fee for the service.

    Anyone got some ideas?

I think the raby bay / cleveland ramp has a facility where you can pay for overnight lockup of your car. Check that one out. I would be interested in this also, have been thinking about at bulwer camping trip for a while.

    Garry,

Rudy Maas has secure parking, but its a fair hike to N Straddie, let alone Moreton. Maybe some of the guys on the north side may have some ideas.

    Garry,

It's next to Horizon Shores Marina at Woongoolba (near Jacobs Well, map 79 Brownies coastwatch). We use it when we camp on S Straddie, we found the guys at Horizon a bit arrogant when we last used the ramp there. Rudy Maas was $17 for 2 nights.

I assume you want N Straddie up Amity/Dunwich way, unfortunatly it would be a fair hike from Rudy Maas to there. But if you have a 4s probably no probs

Good luck, there's some great spots on N Straddie and Moreton to keep you going for months

    Hey spaniard
if ya wish pending the size of your boat you could use the ramp at deepwater bend or doyles rocks ( spelling ?) leaving the vehicle and trailer at my place 30 minutes and they would be on the ramp ready for you to load up.
this all depends on how you feel about this security situation ???

    cheers andy

Not quite the Southside, but close, is that guy who runs the little shop at the Pinkenbah ramp. Even if you don't get him to lock it in his boat yard , he lives there and has got a big dog and you can park close to his house. Good for a run to Moreton or North Straddie from there.
