Do the guys with ally boats with those weld in drain hole thingy's have trouble screwing in the ally bungs or have them stick when left in.
The ones one my hull were a real problem so machined up plastic ones and fixed it real good.
Hi AG
My tinnies got a tennis ball for a bung, bit of a worry as ya just jam it in the hole, doesnt leak and has never come out but I make sure I take spare balls
cheers

i've got 13 bungs that i can think of.
1 outside to drain the hull
3 outside to drain each pod section
1 for the underfloor storage box
1 for the underfloor kill box
1 for the fwd compartment bulkhead
1 under each side stowage shelf x4
2 to drain the cockpit floor into each outer pod
old mate in his leaky old tinnie pulling out the bungs and gunning it to drain out the water ( and he wondered why i would never get back in the thing, croc's ya know)
seeing how many ppl can launch their tinnie without putting them in
the old tennis ball does seem to work well, the hole is about 1/3 the size of the ball and then has been flared inward. Once the ball is in the hole it takes a lot of removing.
who has a tinnie with a bath plug on a lever for a bung not sure but is it the quinnie
I have left them out at times, not in the tinnie though
16' trihull- 2 x 5k each way down the river taking family members down for a picnic total 20k, while lunching I said to the wife I would have a flick for a flattie (waded over to the listing boat and put bungs in and turn bilge pump on) walked back and continued eating saying there were no fish
2nd time 12' clinker dingy, put bung in and bail as i dont think it would have the speed to drain while going foward
cheers

Yes, left the bungys out of the savage runabout once, headed only about 3km out when a passenger said, "Hey, is it normal for me to be standing in water?".. Lucky I had spares in the tackle box. Bailing out water with a small bucket on rope isn't fun...
