I see they restrict their seaward tows to 10nm in 4 of the 5 places throughout Australia that they currently service.
    Cheers Lloyd
Thanks for the link. I could see a use of this service for those that could afford it in the areas that they cover.
Although the majority of small boaters would probably elect not to join given the many expenses already associated with their sport.
    Safe boating everyone!

i still can't understande why so many people are soo tight with the money to places like VMR's i know each year i double the membership fee of our loacal vmr (insteed of $25 i give $50) and then i donate another $150 worth of fule from the marina they way i see if i sould ever need them i would hope that all this goodwill would help me!

as for our vmr well yes they do ask for donations for tows and rescues but would never enforce it
would i give a organisation money for a yearly tow service? NO however if they had machanice and was more like NRMA of the water then i could see some worth
would be great if you broke down on the water and there was someone that could come with batterys fule and tools to get you fixed and on the way

just had a look at the seatow map....

From Russell Island in the North to the Nerang River in the South, The Gold Coast Seaway, all of the Broadwater and 10 nautical miles to sea.

    1. when did Russell Is. float up near the mouth of the Brissy River???
    2. when did they change the spelling of Ipswich to Ipswitch,

i know it's being picky, but if they can't get these things right, would you want them looking for you if you were in trouble??
