    Stessl Blue Water 4.8 Feedback

    Hi Guys,

Love this board, I've been a lurker here for quite some time. Lot's of helpful info.

I'm going to be getting a boat as soon as I can decide on type and size etc.

I've looked at alot of boats and I'm very keen on the Stessl Blue Water 4.8 and would like to hear any comments, good or bad from owners of this particular boat.

    Thanks, Peter

Looked at one myself. I have heard the trophies are much better than the tri hulls which are really crap in big swells. Thats from 2 owners of the trihulls who sold em after 6 months. As for the trophies well all good reports except the fuel tanks tend to crack where they have been welded.

Have had the 5.5M version for around 5 months now and very happy with it. Rides very well in offshore conditions. Heaps of rear deck space for trolling/bottom bashing but walk thru dash lets me cast at bait schools too. No structural probs but it is early days and the plate boats do have a 3 year warranty these days.

PS One word of advice is go up a few hp on the recommended - the 5.5 is recommended at only 90hp which is fine for a test but once loaded up i am glad i went with 115hp
