Anyone changed their NAV light, Cabin light, Anchor light basicly anything that has a bulb in it for a LED bulb. I found a place that has all types of LED bulbs cheap ( at least what i think/and found to be cheap). Thought of replacing all the bulbs as the LED draw hardly any power, ( compared to normal bulbs), and they look the goods as well. Just wondering if anyone else has already done this, and what your opion is if happy or not with them.

Hi Brejen, do you mean the led has a bayonet fitting and will replace the old ones without any modification? Hope so!! Dont keep it a secret!!! cheers nq
Sorry boys only now had the chance to get back on. Have not yet ordered mine but will be tonight. Just went to S^pa cheap and there cheapest are 2x the price.
Nq mate looks as tho that all you have to do pull the old ones out put the new ones in, from what i can see only no good on blinkers.

Before you buy LED's be careful!
Looking at the web site, all the replacement LED's are designed for cars & face directly to veiwer, I know on my trailer the lamps face down, not a problem for standard lamps, as they light up the whole bulb, LED only have about a 10deg off angle before they are no longer visable.
Good point defa. Bulbs not much good for most trailer lights. And festoon ones still wont fix big problem of vibrating loose on contacts. For about $60 - $90 for set of bulbs/festoons plus postage would rather spend the extra and buy complete sealed waterproof LED assemblys. .
Not at all worried about the trailer lights. Really wanted to change the bulbs in the boat. Cabin- working- lights, running lights etc, using less power has to be better on the battery situation, and always doing allnighters just don't have to worry about the power usage leaving them on allnight. All ready have new trailer lights and to save $$$$ wasn't about to try and buy led nav and cabin lights when the ones i have now are near new anyway. Can replace all the inside and nav lights + postage for less than buying just one light so will give it a go and let you know.

boyz sent the guys a email asking about bulk discount, and what they would be like in the boats as cabin lights and for all the running lights. Just thought i'd post on here what they replied for those that are interested. I'll prob wait till they have what they are saying and will keep you posted. We're just about to make a big move into marine LED - we'll bring a new brightness to the market with our flux bulbs.
So far we're producing a 360 degree anchor light that is basically a 15mm bayonet base bulb with a stack of 3Chip flux LED coming out of it.
Particularly the 3Chip flux festoons would be of interest - basically as bright as an 18w festoon using around 7mA of power - this is the type that can be left on all night without power drain.
We're also looking at a light bar approx 500mm in length giving out great light for minimum battery usage.
