    Re: BOAT NAMES

What are the rules when naming a boat??
Do you have to look to see if there is a previous name
is there a boat name register available on line.
How do you know if a name is taken??

    Cheers and still Raging

    Re: BOAT NAMES

Our boat is 'Reel Nauti'. But the other day we were at the ramp and a bloke was there with his boat at it was called "DILLIGAF". My wife, Sue, asked him what it meant. He said is was for dilli as in crab dillies and gaf for fish gaf. He was grinning when he told her and then he said it actually stands for " Do I Look Like I Give A F&@#." Some blokes have a real sense of humour.

    Cheers

We actually followed this re-naming ceremony on the original dreamdays, absolutely loved the champagne part , absolutely vital, invite all your friends to ensure the gods are appeased with lots of champers

    Re: BOAT NAMES

When I get my new boat..when it finally arrives..it will be called "TMD"
As I lost both my parents earlier this year and inherited a few bucks..the TMD stands for Thanks Mum and Dad..the old man was a fishing fanatic..taught me from when I was young so he would be rapt with me getting a new boat..he was always talking about it but never got around to it.

    Re: BOAT NAMES

I like the boat name and appreciate the reasons behind it Pinhead. May the waters you cover be calm and the fish you catch be plenty.

May Mum and Dad keep you and your crew safe on the water. I think that TMD is lovely gesture Pinhead. Now they will both be with you every time a big one comes over the side!

    Re: BOAT NAMES

met a fella once and he had "didyawannacrackatinny" on the side of his boat. When I asked him if he liked a drink, he said that he he in fact did not drink and that he named the boat after he ran a 23' alli up on the reef a few years ago and split it in 2. I Peed myself laughing in the middle of the boat ramp.
I CAME INTO THIS WORLD KICKING, SCREAMING AND COVERED IN SOMEONE ELSES BLOOD. I HAVE NO PROBLEM GOING OUT THE SAME WAY.
