I know this topic has probably been covered but can anyone advise the best protective coating for my galvanised trailer, which at the moment is in good nick & I want to keep it that way. I've heard Lanoguard 3000 is good but don't know where to buy it, on the northside of Brissy? Any advice appreciated. Thanks Chris
Also the Kevlacat is goin great. The handling seems to get better & better, the more I learn how to drive the thing
The only thing I do is re gal the trailer when it starts deteriating had mine for ten years done
once now needs doing again.Where it's fatigued replace steel last cost $750 including new rollers
Needs doing again soon this trailer suits a 5:2 boat
As far as Lanoguard try Super Cheap

Pulled mine apart seven years back and painted with two pack..
New springs wrapped in 2" hession from local upholsterer and soaked in Deiso and occasionally spread a wee amount of oil over the top which soaks into the hession preventing rust ..
Still good today ..
just read an article in F&B it was suggested that 1 litre of turps to 1 litre of linseed oil and cote, you can also buy a pree greased cloth tape to wrap around the axle, however i wonder if these methods would attract dirt etc into the mechanicals this may not be good.
I know some of the Fisher boats are sprayed with a clear coating called Nyalic, this product may be suitable to spray over the gal steel.
