    new boat 6.5 sailfish

Took delivery of our boat this weekend and are pretty rapt in it. Thought I would share some pics of it with you all. It is a sailfish cat with twin 90 hondas. It will be used to fish out of turkey beach. Previously had a 5.5 sailfish which was a great boat, but wanted to upgrade to a newer and bigger rig. Did a trip on Saturday to the banks in it and got very good economy. So far so good. Tony.

Garry, she is 2 years old with 220 hours on the clock. Been sheded all its life and is in as new of condition as I have seen for a 2nd hand boat. Was lucky enough to be first to see the boat pop up on boatpoint and bought it sight unseen and trucked it up from sydney. Happy with the honda's so far. Any maintanence tips on keeping them spot on. Didn't get the books with the motors but the old owner is trying to find them and send them up. What intervals should the oil be changed? Have they got adjustable tappetts? Tony.

    Tony,

Oil changes and filter at 100hr intervals including engine and gear oils.

Tappets at 300-400 hrs .009" inlet .012" exh also fuel filters and thermostats at this time

water pumps and plugs at 200hrs

    Cheers

    nice looking rig.

My only point of concern would be performance in a head on sea. Cats are never the best but that tunnel design looks like it will punch harder than Mike Tyson.

Let us know how it goes after a decent punch.
