There were some Perko ones on eBay yesterday!
Has anyone seen these on the Australian market yet?Or does any one know when they are due for release?Maybe someone out there has some inside information on this.Have seen the csi speco brand and the perko brand while doing a search on the internet.I have been waiting as i am just using portable nav lights at the moment and would like to install real nav lights into my tinny. They look bl00dy fantastic.

JUst get normal nav lights and replace the bulbs.

Gogecko has the idea.
I have replacement LED's in my NAV lights & they are just as bright as the globes. Sealed the light up with Sikaflex, along the coloured lense as well on the interior of the light for a fully water proof enclosure. Much much cheaper than the going price of LED Nav lights.
Also saw a replacment LED anchor light. At $40.00 it's a rip off, specially if you work out that a replacement globe is about $2.00 and they last for a few years and usually the anchor light is in a position where it doesn't cop all the spray. Not like NAV lights.
I have wondered if these would be any good, not sure what they would seal like, but there isn't a distributor in my area so I can't go and have a look.
Mybe someone can, or someone knows what they are like.

Good one Tbird
Look forward to seeing those pics.Hope they work for you the way you have described.sounds like all ya need now is a woman to go with the soft lighting
Ive looked at the bulbs but want to get the factory made types.
Can import them as i have just found out but dont want to run the risk of buying over the inet especially from overseas.
Here's a pic of the deck
Have you got any inside the esky rooter? so you can find the drinks
The ole LED lights would have to be better for your battery consumption to I presume..

Show me the Snapper!
Tbird,
are you happy with them and did they perform up to you expectations?
How many leds do each light contain?
Micko
They aren't all that bright during the day dut neither are the stars..
Mate i tried numerous led's in the shed at home mainly off trucks but wasn't satisfied with the colour or output, Once i'd seen a couple on mates boats i finaly tracked the same light down at muir marine manly part no wrb980 they are a single led and totaly watertight (tried them in a sink full of water) about $12 each.
The wire i used came from rs components 3 amp, tinned and double insulated, there's no need to use thick cable for the job as each led only draws about .o2 amps (a halogen or fluro will draw about 1.2 amps), i found thick cable made soldering and heat shrinking the wires a painful task. In summary. yeah mate i'm stoked with the outcome and wish i'd done it sooner.... the esky lid's next foxy
