Thats the same with me my grand parents died and left my mum and dad lots of money so thats what we bought the tinny for $5950 and sole searching for $67,000. It was worth $82,000 but we traded in our old boat kingtin for $10,000 and we got $5000 off cause it was last years model.

Cobe...tell the old fella he now has the tinnie and you will be the skipper of "Sole Searching"..still waiting for him to take me for a run in it sometime when he is down the Pin way.

A word of warning on those rod holders in the gunnel if there stainless they should be OK but if there aluminium make sure if you reposition them undo the wing nut, then move and retighten # don't do what I did and try and move them by hand whilst there tight to a new position # they will move being aluminium but will eventually break #
Yeah, I've bent 'em already Was going to recess some holders in the reinforcing plate at the corner of the transom but realised that if the transom failed then this would void the warranty. I've moved the bimini for'ard now so I at least have room to strike at the verminOriginally Posted by Black_Rat

As for lotsa money, Lotsa money is when you have enough to send your kids away to boarding school so that you can fish everyday instead of having to be home to make 'em afternoon tea. the tinny
$6600 Chemmy, trailer motor and boat. Then there's the extras like bimini etc. Could've bought 2nd hand but I've been stuck at sea before with a lemon of a 2nd hand motor. With there being no clocks on the smaller ones you can never tell how much use they've had so I went the extra mile to get new with warranty.Originally Posted by chemmy
I'm making the floor. Would've cost around 400 bucks.........labour costs but I've nearly finished it myself and it's cost me 120 in materials. Can't make my mind up whether to carpet the seats.........about another 80 bucks for carpet as I've already got adhesive. Not so much the money. I'm not too good with my hands but it's a learning experience and I'm enjoying setting it up myself. Lights and electrics next
cheers

it is much more fun then it seems me and dad fit out one of our old boats with sounder, new wireing, radio, antenna, rod holdes and new carpet. It's good to see it all come together
