    Hoga,

    Are you saying your owners manual says to change the head gasket

    How many hours are they recommending it be done at??

    As far as reasons go I think to generate some $$ for the dealer

    If you remove the head then sure replace the gasket but if you have no reason to remove the head, don't. Sure there is adavantages to remove the heads..cleaning water passages.. inspection and diagnose an early fault.

    I don't think it is neccessary.

    THE OWNERS MANUAL SAYS TO REPLACE IT AFTER EVERY 300 HOURS OR EVERY 5 YEARS HOGA
