    TABS......Well done!

Hi guys, I have had some positive dealings with TABS!

The last few months the I have been noticing a few fuel fumes under the floor in my boat after I fill the tank. I pulled the floor boards up a while ago and found that the fuel was sweating out the gasket under the fuel level sender.
I rang TABS before Christmas and informed them about the problem and to my suprise I was told to bring the boat in come new year. So I dropped the boat off early yesterday morning and I was told they would call me in the afternoon when it was ready. About 3pm I had receive no call(I wasn't worried about this as half the workers were stil on holidays), so I made the call and asked how it was going.
And bugger me, I was told that along with fixing the tank they were replacing some of the hatches, touching up the paint and fixing some of the wiring so it wasn't going to be ready till lunch time today At this point I had some bad thoughts, something along the lines of "these pricks have taken my boat out fishing somewhere"!
Anyway I called them up today about lunch time and was told its all ready to be picked up. Sweet!
Drove down there this afternoon and man, I was totally shocked. They replaced a front and the rear hatch cause they were a little curled up on a corner which I didn't care about or even mention, they also touched up some scratches along the sides(damm crab pots), they resprayed the back where some bubbles were appearing(bad wiring job from engine fitter), and they resprayed a front section where some bubbles were showing(caused by me fitting stainless drain hole cover [smiley=embarassed.gif]).
They also very neatly fixed up the wiring that was causing some leakage into the hull.
And alll for nothing! Free! Zip! Nada! I did not hand over one cent!
What more could you ask for??

Needless to say I am very happy with TABS! I'm happy I own one

    Hi Shane
What size TABS do you have?

    I agree with your comments

I have a 6m Oceon Series purchased Dec 04. It is pushed by a Merc 135 Optimax.
I had some scratches from new when the dealer tried to pull the boat onto a wrong fitting trailer. Not his fault. The trailer was changed to a better one at no cost to me. The boat was then sent to TABS when it went for its first service and came back all painted and a new piece of floor (i didnt even ask for it)

Great service and great boat. I love the stability of the 2.5m width.

    Cheers Noel

I got the 4.55 Territory side console. If I ever get a new boat it will be another TABS!

Great to here Shane,I have placed an order for a 5.35 C/C terriotory pro with 140hp 4/s Johnson motor. I had a test in a 4.55 side/c and it was great. The bigger boats have plenty of room in them.
By the way you have been treated it seams like they have there act together with customer service, hard to fault that .

    Re: TABS......Well done!

    Hi ShaneJ,

I have ordered a 5.7 m ocean series and mine is due end of Jan. I have looked at many alloy plate boats and I couldnt walk past this little baby. The finish is just outstanding and they handle like a dream. Had a test drive of the 5.3,5.7 and the 6m ocean series and finally decided on the 5.7 because the bunk is 6foot long. I have never had to wait for anything in my life and its killing me.

I havent spoken to anyone who doesnt like their tabs.

The beam is unreal and the freeboard is very comforting when outside.

Enjoy yours as I will and may you have tight lines.

    Hi suttos
I had to wait a week for my 6m Oceon series as it was supposed to be the demo boat for the dealer (coorparoo marine)

That was to long so I know how you feel

The worst thing about fishing out of my tabs is the freeboard is so high I cant reach the water to wash my hands when I lean over the side
    Bugger lol

    Seems TABS are trumps!

How would the plate hull compare to the Ally Craft Tank hull - which is also plate?
