rocket launchers

I'm fairly new to boating & was wondering what the purpose of rocket launchers are. Are they just for rod storage or are they used trolling ????

on my old boat i had rocket launchers that were used solely to get the rods of the floor and away from my feet.

Just storage mate, keeps the cockpit clear of rods that arent being used. It also saves rods from being damaged during transport...

also for trolling the shotgun lure on smaller boats

Holding rods up out of the way (brilliant), shotgun lure holder, centre rigger holder, gps aerial holder, snchor light holder, outrigger mount, canopy support, radio aerial mount, grab rail, shed guttering f#$kers.
Man rocket launchers are good... so good in fact that if you just had a rocket launcher, you hardly even need a boat!!

Normally just the landing net ends up in mine. I don't like them for rod storage as the reels get drenched in spray.
