Get a para-anchor. It cost me $245 a few years ago and it's the best thing. Para -7 is the go. You can buy them direct for the factory but at the same price with extra's and free posting

I bought a drogue suposed to be for a 26 foot boat mine is 18. It was pretty good for keeping me side on or stern to the waves and not much else. Bought a Para 4 kit recommended for up to 6m) was $230.
Works perfectly to keep me bow on to the waves except that the supplied rope is too short for 2m + seas. The parachute keeps coming to the surface and collapsing which makes for an erratic drift.
