Just thought i would post up a few piccies of my little punt. This is my first boat ive done a few changes since picking it up and slowly getting it to where i want it....
Picked the punt up for $700.00 with a 3HP Merc on the back. Outboards in great nic and hasnt seen alot of work starts first pull everytime. Its slow as anything mind you a top speed of....Wait for it.....13Kph!
This is what she looked like when i picked it up.
Added in a front floor with plenty of under floor storage.
Under floor Ice box..Good old Brocili Box.
Fitted a new sounder, Should be fine for the river and creeks i fish...
Apart from finding a good 2nd 8HP outboard (anyone??) and down the track fitting a Bow mount leccy im very happy with it. Does what i need it to do allowing me to get right up into the skinny water around the Ballina creeks to flick SP's.
Shes not flash but im happy with her.
I like your deck Archer! the way you still have a seat and the casting platform up front should work real well I have a slip in ply deck that i can use but its a pain with the anchor up front.. I don't know how far your wanting to travel down your way but just the lecki and 2 good batterys would get you a few kms..
Cheers Brandon, Yea can be a fair run up some of the creeks down this way due to not alot of ramps upstream from the main river..So yeh i will be needing a larger outboard at some stage. This one does the job though after all im going fishing whole point is to relax so if it takes me 10-15mins longer to get there no biggie.

I have a slip in ply deck that i can use but its a pain with the anchor up front.. I don't know how far your wanting to travel down your way but just the lecki and 2 good batterys would get you a few kms..
