    running in motor

Ment to be leaving monday for annual camping but have new boat and have not completted full running in hours. Have done 7 hrs and have been told to have it serviced at around ten hours. Is this vital or is 7 close enough. Normal mechanic is busy as usual and i have left things to the last minute as usuall. Should i get it serviced now or delay trip to finish hours?
Where i am going is quite remote ans hard to get to mechanic? I am keener than a dog at a cat show to go away camping but want to do what is best. Your thoughts appreciated.

have you given it any full throttle at all yet?
    if so.. roughly how much...

if you have opened it up a little already, i would say get it serviced and treat it with respect for a few more hours...

im not a mechanic, just my opinion

    Jewie,

it's really not that critical as long as she's runnin ok, Some people never get it done, most get it done 10-50 hours then the next 100 after that

Go Campin, get it done when ya come back.. ya warranty will not be voided by not gettin the first service done on time.

    cheers

Yeah I agree with Garry. I had my first service on my Yammy at about 60 hours cause I was out in the middle of the bush. I did however take a oil filter and changed that at about 15 hours.

Shouldnt matter too much if its a bit over. Generally all they do is change gearcase oil, and a check over.

Carry on do your three tanks and run as normal service on return. I wouldnt think twice about it, as long as its not gonna come back from trip with heaps on it.
