    Looks fantastic,good job,

Just one thing and I dont want to be piccy about other peoples work but the motor seems to be sitting too high on the pod for the prop to reach the water.

    Might just be the photo.

    Has anyone else noticed this.

    Great work anyway

Now that is my style of boat great work I love the flared bow and high sides I have a project that is sort of similar, have not even looked at it in near 9 months, your neighbors inviting you to the end of boat work party? .

About the boat I will say this because you bought it cheap and so you don't end up punching some bigmouth like me out at the ramp but it is not Bertram at least not in the classic hull of a bertram most know, it is a nice boat none the less, look at a few of the US 1960/70/80s boats withthe same hullform as it is one of or a copy of one of those. Which one? there were literally thousands.

Here is one of the early bertrams actually it's th one that started all the fuss. the moppy.
    cheers fnq

    Re: old bertam reborn

    Looks tidy, well done
whats the lenth of the hull (less pod)
looks a lot of boat for a 70hp
I also think the motor may be a bit high, but like you say you can drop it down 4 inches so hopefully that will be enough.
    Keep at it.
strip some stainless bolts off the 100hp before you dump it, suprising what they come in handy for
    cheers

    70hp auxiliary now thats safety

Nice work good call on the pod.

How long did it take, then to now?

    A reckon she'd look great with a big 4 U.L. Shaft on her. she's what 20ft?

my thoughts further down the tracks a new 90hp with a 25inch leg

does the floor sit on the ouside stringers.
the stringers look like the wrong way round.
the motor looks high also. the skeg looks like its level or above the bottom of the boat.
