Trade a Boat magazine mate.
usually see a few in there from all round the countyr. Might pick up a cheapie and sail it back to your home port.
I am after an older style trawler, I wish to park it at a marina and use for weekend fishing trips etc. Eventually do up to live aboard. Where do i look and are certain styles better than others. I am unsure of price as I suppose it depends on condition of boat. All info appreciated.

Alcohol doesn't agree with me, but i sure do enjoy the argument!!!
There was one (already semi converted into a full time live aboard vessel someone half way through a project) advertised in last weekends Cairns Post I think it was based in Brisbane (not sure)it was around the $50 000 mark, will look in tomorrows edition to see if it was still advertised.

Hey aw65
don't know where u r.
if in SEQ and after u try boatpoint, trade a boat & trading post, have a look at the sales offices at some of the marinas. east coast, horizon shores, they often carry that type of x-trawler. there r a couple of brokers on boatpoint who also carry that stuff.
regards
As Gelsec said, Trade-A-Boat have a commercial section at the back wwhere that kind of stuff is more concentrated.
Buy the printed book in my opinion.
Its hard to search on the web for adverts like that ..... i wouldnt know what keywords to use. Not everyone is going to have the word "trawler" in it ?
Boat point try "Bay Crusiers" thats what the yuppies call smell old trawlers. you'd be starting around $25k-30k.
Thanks for the replies. If anyone hears of anything send me a PM. Prepared to travel.
