    G'day
Ws this a second hand boat? Seems to be as the way you've worded your post. It's not uncommon for this to happen and it's not really the dealers responsibility. It can be dangerous and a majot sh!tfight all the same. What did you do to do it properly?

    Re: rewired boat yesterday

I have looked at the wireing on my boat i have just bought (old secondhand boat) and its just a nightmare. There are wires eveywhere and some go nowhere just been cut off. I really need to go through it all but i think its abit over my head. Will just have to tidy it up for now untill i can learn how to do a complete rewire. Just another thing to add to the list...... and it goes on and on and on......lucky its all part of the fun hey.

    Re: rewired boat yesterday

    G'day
I've done a rewire of my tinny and what was 3 years ago. EVERYTHING still going strong. twin core tinned running through loom tube and all connections soldered, taped and put away. If you would like any tips on wiring go and pick the brains of pete(grand_marlin). He's totally anal how he goes with his stuff. Pull up a post here under yalta odessa rebuild and get a feel for his work.

    Re: rewired boat yesterday

    David,

I've checked with a number of my electrical suppliers for 5 core tinned wire - not looking good. The best they stock is 2 core. I'll try a few others tomorrow.

If it does exist, though, be prepared for a nasty price...
