Thanks Chimo
I hope some people find it interesting. I leaned on a lot of experienced people to put it all together.
I was sent a question
Can I use the LowranceNet fuel sender you mentioned on pg 16 on an older Lowrance Global Map 2000?
Can it be used with two motors or would you hook it to one and work off that and double the fuel used or is there another way?
One of the major benefits of the fuel flow meter is to check what each motor is up to..
So for a twin outboard setup – two separate meters gives the most useful indication of what is going on. And a variance between the two meters should be like waving a red flag
That’s a real benefits that mono setups don’t have - you get to check two identical motors side by side to tune up their prop etc . And find minor problems we would otherwise miss. .
So I suggest a fuel flow meter on each outboard - add them up to get total usage.
With LowranceNet you need only one gauge.
Most of the current model Lowrance products work with LowranceNet. And many of the others can get a free software upgrade. I like Free!
I will check on the Global Map 2000 later today.
For any one else call Lowrance on 1300 784 244
