    e-tec 115hp 10hrs old stats

My new motor has now done 10 hrs. Not much for Queenslanders but for a Victorian bait fisher not bad in 1 month.
10 hrs running at varied speeds with some trolling and lots W.O.T. 70ltrs fuel = 7.00 ltr per hour average pushing a 5.25 stacer bowrider. Not bad fuel usage I think.
5knt troll uses 0.5ltr per hour
    4000rpm@28knts uses 22 ltr hour
W.O.T;5600rpm @40knts.Lots fuel. I am not looking at gauge, I am watching the water....
    Spinning a 19" s/steel prop.

Oh yeah, and about 1ltr oil and that is while it uses double oil for 1st 10 hours.

    Ribbit,

Your figures sound quite good, simmilar to my 115 Optimax (Merc).

Would be interested in your WOT fuel consumption figure ?

    Cheers

I had a 115 carb before and did not want to lose grunt by going back to 90.
about 14200 fitted few extras like hyd steering went onto bill so exact price hard to say now. RRp is $15500 I think.

I've got a 90 as well, and like Ron couldnt be happier.

    Great on fuel

    Bugger all oil

    Havent had it serviced yet

Didnt have to run it in (it was doing 36knots within 5 minutes of its first run)

Ribbit, you have what is possibly the best motor available on the market today. Congratulations in taking the step.

Best of luck with your boating

    Cheers

    Geoff

Hope the E-tec baggers dont think I have offended them again!!! :exclamation [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]

    i have an E-TEC 60 on a 480 FORMOSA Runabout.
    Couldnt be happier,
Fuel economy is great, low emmissions, quiet and uses hardly any oil it is nearly a four stroke.
    I have not regrets,

    thanks sea raider.
I took it for a good run on Monday. did approx 40 km return trip mostly at 4200rpm and used 19 ltrs fuel. Basically 1ltr per 2km. I think that is pretty good economy, 2 guys, 80ltr fuel our gear.

about 1100+1200kg 2 up and 3/4 tank fuel would be my closest guess.
hull is 550kg, motor 170kg plus fuel, me etc etc.
