another
Howdy , Long Time browser first time poster.
I picked up my new boat last week so I thought i'd join in the ausfish crew.
She's a Yalta Craft 535 with 115 Yammy 2st
Haven't had a flat out run yet , still running in, but she does cruise very nicely
at about 28 knots, expecting around 36 to 38 kts, but we'll soon see.
I'll Try a pic
Cheers

ray sunshine coast
Cliffo,
Nice rig and now you can have heeps of fun throwing money into the bucket that all the new toys need and after 17 years of owning my two boats I can still find things that I just can't possibly do without. Especially as they are all for safety reasons.
Enjoy
Top rig cliffo...welcome to the site...
Matt

Hey Cliffo, I have just joined Ausfish (5mins ago) and read your post....I have the same boat/motor combination, only had it a few months myself and so far am extremely happy with it....first boat though so have nothing to compare it with.
Where are you from? I am in Cleveland Qld....
Hey Redbloke, This is boat no. 4 for me, and by far the best,
#1 old ski boat, did it's job very well
#2 22ft half cabin, worst thing i ever did, nearly cost me everything
#3 Trailcraft 535 Ali runabout - Actually the old mans boat but lived at my house and got
very well used by ME, Excellent boat by the way but I prefer Glass Boats
#4 Yalta 535 Love IT
I'm In QLD too, Northern Gold Coast, Moved the family over from Perth in October Last Year
And Had to leave my Free Trailcraft behind, Can't understand why the old boy wouldn't let me
bring it over
Fair to say the boat thing is in my veins so I think I did well to go 8 Months without a boat
But I'm very very very happy now and after the trouble we had with the old half cabin
the missus insisted we buy a brand new boat, Twisted my rubber arm she did.
So your not too far away , might have to meet up for a fish and a cold one.
I'm pretty sure I know where cleveland is , learning my way around slowly.
Cheers Everyone
Cliffo
Hey Redbloke
Where did you buy your Yalta from??
I Just Read your post - Nice Colour Scheme on your boat
Cliffo
Hi again Cliffo, I bought the boat from a guy on ebay....it was 7 months old and only had about 18 hours on it.....going by your photos, I think they are identical colour etc....I think the boat was originally purchased from a company on the Gold Coast.
Have you had any joy fishing over this side of the country yet? I have a friend in WA who claims the fishing is amazing over there.....I couldn't catch a cold....much less a fish but am still enjoying the huge learning curve.
Kevin
Yeah the fishing in WA is unreal as long as you get away from Perth. Man, Perth Waters are just a Desert.
Once you get a couple of hundred k's either side of Perth it gets good.
The North west and Kimberly are mind blowing.
I caught a 22kg Spanish mackeral in an 11ft tinny up north, just awesome.
Not a bad buy from ebay, if it came from the Gold coast it would have been from
Marine Tune at Burliegh, pretty sure they're the only yalta dealer on the coast.
Thats where mine came from. I actually bought it at Sanctuary cove boat show, great package
at an awesome price, I couldn't turn it down.
I've only had my boat out once, last weekend and a mate of mine caught the first fish, a 40cm Flathead
I haven't got a fish in it yet, hopefully that will change this weekend.
I'm sure you'll get your share of fish, It's just awesome to be out there, fish are a bonus
life is nothing without boating IMO
Cheers
Cliffo
