    Buying first tinnie

    Hey all
I about to buy my first tinnie. Thing is i only have $3000. Is there any adv u can give me as to what to look for, or even where i can pick up a decent tinnie for that much.
Also should i just pick up the tinnie itself then "fish" it up, or try to go for one already setup?
    Any help would be good

i got a quintrex 310 Dart- i think that they are about $1000 new- with a Suzuki 2 stoke 15 hp motor, which i picked up brand new for $1995. it goes pretty quick- 50 k's exactly. Its very small though. good luck

    G'day
First of all, do you want new or second hand? For 3K you should be able to get a really nice little 12' rig second hand with reasonable fitout. Just watch for dodgy DIY jobs some people do, focus on a later model outboard and check the boat for structural integrity. Trading post will be the best place to start. Apart form that, just have fun and you will work it out.
