    how old?

I recently checked out a 13' quinnie with a 25HP black and gold jono donk.
The owner claimed it was a 91 model with 25 hrs.As he was sick I didn't want to argue and left. My impressions would be early 70s.It was a bit hard to read the motor compliance plate.
Also it didn't have propellor exhaust.
    Any ideas

    Re: how old?

    G'day Bear,

As far as I know, all run of the mill Johnno's of that era were all white with red & black lettering & decals.

However, I did buy a 25hp Johnno of the surf rescue that was a special edition (international edition I think) and that was black.

It had decals on the cowling that resembled planets or big circles - I think there were 3 or 4 of them, and from memory they were red.

That would have been around a 95 model.

From memory early model Johnnos were green legs with white cowls??

Dont quote me on this, as it is just from my memory which could do with an overhaul!!

Do you have any other distinguishing features from it?

    Cheers

    brrbear,

I think you are looking at a comercial model, easiest way to tell is the split gearcase. It will have a Horizontal line right down the middle of the gearbox with bolts/screws or allen key type bolts from the botom pointing up. either 4 or 6 ..memory fading

If you can give me the model number I can track down all the i nfo for it

    cheers
