Re: Recreational boat race
Is my idea of a boat race with the conditions of what Blaze has said not popular.
If so then i will not say anymore.
I was of the opinion that with what Blaze suggested it would be great
Good for our navigatioal skills and promote the boating industry and who wins or comes last who cares.
Had my last say on this thread.

Re: Recreational boat race
Then may the last Pacific 1000 rest in peace when real men raced real boats for the fun not the gory.
There's probably not one so called recreational boat here that could handle the longest leg of the Pacific 1000 at any reasonable sort of speed in even the calmest of seas and get more than half way there.
Lets be honest there's not all that many here that even remember the Pacific 1000?

Re: Recreational boat race
Well troy this was in the 70's when ordinary people in ordinary boats well some even with triples decided to see who could go from Cairns to the Gold coast in the quickest time and mind you fuel in those days was not what it is today. Lets see 18 cents per litre went a long way in those days and those days were fun
