There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

Day One demolshing the bulkhead between the bilge and fuel tank compartment.
Six jig saw blades busted, no luck withg the four inch grinder, same with the eight inch grinder (no room for it), can't get a circular saw in there, chain saw wouldn't look at it .................. went and bought one of those electric reciprocating saws and that did the trick. At day's end though, it is the old chisel(s) and a wooden hammer that works best off all.
Sitting on 300 litres of fuel makes me a bit twitchy using any sparky stuff though I have sealed all the vents and make sure there is not a drop of vuel anywhere.
Main worry is working close the actual hull fibreglass as I really don't need a hole through that at this stage.
Bad news is that the port stringer is rotted out right back under floor to the stern. To fix this I will have to chop out a section of the port floor to get at it - huge job and also have to pull out one of the metre long water tanks that is heavily glassed in - yeh! >
Aim today is to get the bulkhead wall down to the hull and all nicely cleaned and sanded back!
Any timber to be replaced i would consider cca kiln dryed timber has no moisture and treated agaist rot did all stringers and ribs in my boat with it. and a good marine glue that i used is fix it mate fmp200 when applied it foams up so gets in all nooks and is easy to get dags off with sand paper or chisel got the glue from where i bought ply.
