    J got this from Chris tonight mate, he has been having trouble logging on.

    As has been suggested the transom is painted in two pack - thus the grey undercoat . I did not have the equipment or the expertise to do it in gelcoat and it was sent to the paint shop to be done in two pack . Cannot expand on the brand etc. Sorry , it must not have come up in our discussions before . Have asked Brett to post this - my login is not working .
