Complete Oddbud - What is it worth??

This is a one off boat, foam sandwich fibre glass hull, 15ft long and 7ft wide. Currently fitted with a 10hp Tohatsu, on a specailist trailer with a very unusual canopy. Seats 5 and was built in 2004. Apparently (?) it does 20 knotts with the 10hp fitted and the whole package cost the bloke $24000 all up when it was put together. The old bloke who owns it needs a car a lot more than the boat and contacted my brokerage asking for help. I've got to admit it has me stumped.

Cant help but wonder if you could replace the front trampoline with a casting platform and build in a walk through access? It looks like it would be stable.

    Looks like an AHOJ special.
Nice little party boat if you could put a BBQ on the front.
Good luck in getting a value though. It's a really specialised boat that one and not everyones cup of tea.
It would be nice on the dams though

The problem is finding someone that might want to buy it.

Its worth zilch if it sits there with no interest........

I hope the former owner was able to get lots of use out of it.
And that he can find someone with a similiar dream.
Otherwise it is going to cost

That thing is a shocker! 24K you say I think around $1 a kilo would pull it up, not being serious cause it's hard to believe anyone would buy it again which is always a shame, what about selling on Ebay? Bass fisho's could proably use it minus the canopy, I dunno.

    cheers fnq

Don't get me wrong fellas. I actually think there is a market for a boat like this and Ahoj's. If I only fished the quite dams like Lesley and the such I would have something like this. I recon it would be great. Put a deck on the front and make it so you can sleep on it and Bob's your uncle. Go fishing for a few days and not worry about anything (much).
First thing I'd do though is to rip the canopy off and put something a bit more suitable on.

What sort of money is the bloke trying to get?? There must be some indication.
I'd have to admit though $24k was a bit of a waste to have this built when you can get a pretty good party pontoon boat for less then that already built and ready to go
    Cheers Scott

If you took the canopy off and photographed it on the water, it MIGHT look a bit better, but I think 20kts on a 10hp is also a bit exaggerated.

I suspect he has flushed at least 22K down the toilet and isn't likely to get much of a car for what he'll get for that.
