    Day 38

Dropped bow rails off at a stainless steel place to be altered. Bought another 12kg of mat and some gelcoat.

    Day 39

Cut out the side pocket bases....

    .... while the dog relaxed!

While other lucky souls were out enjoying a weekend on the water we spent another hot and sticky weekend in the shed

    Day 40 - Saturday

An afternoon of glassing saw the side pockets done, a layer of glass added at the gunwale (there didn't seem to be much holding the deck onto the hull) and the port floor laid.

    Day 41 - Sunday

Early in the day the starboard floor was glassed,

then some rearranging was done in the shed as the time had come to turn this baby over! [smiley=shocked2.gif]

Our young fella (who has avoided us like the plague during the glassing) jumped at the chance to help! A quick inspection of how the U-bolt is holding up and

    UP we go

This could end in tears even the dog is looking worried!

A bit of a shove here and there....

    some lifting and slewing....

    and she's over at last!

Well that went better than I'd anticipated

Nah, fibreglass & flowcoat don't really like to go on upside down, so this seemed to be the easiest way to do the rest of the interior work.... and we're also re-gelcoating the exterior so it will make that easier too.

doing a great job guy's but not all of us are out fishing some of us are still stuck at home but then again a bottle of Jack helps fix things
    No pain tonight
That would have been scary turning her over i bet You's both had a few Cougars before attempting that
You are going to have a brand new boat at the end of all this and the best part is you's done it so you will appreciate that much more.

    Keep up the great work

    Cheers Phil

T'was a bit nerve wracking.... saved the Cougar for later, in case we needed to drown our sorrows

We might be too scared to use it

My only concern now Bev is when you get under neath the boat to keep this good story going is you are going to get lots of resin drip in ya hair.

    Day 41

    Play-Pen lost her name

and her water-line, then Ross did some sanding....

    and some more sanding!

Dug out and refilled some old battle wounds in the transom

Received news on the bow rail alterations.... alterations cancelled, we are now having new bow rails made.

    Day 43

Did zero, zip, nada on the Play-Pen. Went shopping late afternoon, bought two small sanders.... one square, one mouse shaped.... then to our favorite restaurant for an early dinner. While we ate, we admired the vessels moored in the cove. Belly full of Prawn Cocktail & Lobster Mornay.... life is good
