Take photos and memories leave only footprints, respect the enviroment when 4 wheel driving , never be too busy to help out someone in need.
Damn, i'm going to miss those updates. Hope to get out tomorrow and Saturday down the pin way, with luck might run into you.

One of the sad signs of our times is that we have demonized those who produce, subsidized those who refuse to produce and canonized those who complain.

Bev and Ross
I have read, watched and waited to see and read of the advances of playpen on a nightly basis. I feel as though I have known the two of you for many years although we have never met and may never do so. I will miss the excitement and anticipation of reading your posts, and of looking forward to the end of each day to see what you have achieved. My loss is now your gain, and you are both to be commended for your dedication, patience, persistence and professionalism.
May the "new" Playpen" give you years of joy and satisfaction.
Cheers to both of you, many thanks, and hearty congratulations.
Dave
Very, very neat Ross & Bev.
A job done thoroughly, and it certainly shows in the end result
A lot of work, a lot of money, but at the end of the day you have a boat that is better than new ... and still at half the cost of a new one.
If you are looking for another project, I have one you can have
Enjoy....
Cheers

Whiskey Oscar Whiskey. WOW.
When first I read this thread I remember writing "Bev and Ross I salute you". There are no better words that I can find that are fitting.
I have had endless hours of roaring laughter, I have learned more than I could ever have hoped, and I have been witness to the development of very powerful friendships. (and learned that Kev likes big joints)
To have been even just a small part of this has been a privelege. Thank you both Bev and Ross for sharing your lives during the rebuild of Play Pen.
Mike
Just too add, i had the privilage of having a few beers with Ross and Bev on the weekend down at the Pin. And i must say that the boat in every detail is immaculate. Its a credit to you both and once again well done.
Ps, apoligies for not getting back on the weekend, wifey screwed the thumb in and i was stuck at home doing lawns etc.
Darryl.
WELL DONE ROSS AND BEV SHE LOOKS AMAZING - BETTER THAN NEW
WILL HOPEFULLY SEE YOU AT THE PIN ONE TIME
ENJOY

Ross, Bev (especially Bev) we don't seem to have closure of this thread. I notice that Play Pen has been sighted over several weekends down at the pin. I have been down there and obviusly have missed you not realising where you hang out. Would love to stop in and just admire. Think from the photos and discussions I know where you now hang out. Unfortunately the next month or so I will be trying offshore but guaranteed that if I am down your way will call in and say "giday"

Well, I'm flabbergasted. Like a few others, I disregarded the thread title and thought it wouldnt be of interest. Wrong wrong wrong. Decided to read the first couple of posts and from there could not stop clicking the next page and the next and so on. Took most of the afternoon to finally finish and I must say it was first class stuff. Yourself and ross (and others that pitched in) should be extremely proud of the result. Magnificent and an inspiration to others tackling similar jobs.
Cheers - Paul
just read 42 pages in one sitting....welldone!!!!
First, apologies for abandoning this thread.... life just seems to have taken over!! Thanks for the additional compliments re: the rebuilt.... and glad to see it is still be found by new readers.
Well somewhere early in the rebuild someone suggested we rename her Trailer Queen.... and I'm beginning to think they were right!
But I am pleased to announce that after many, many weeks... oh heck, make that months... of hiding in the shed, Play-Pen will be in the water this weekend... yee-haa, look out crabs, here we come
We will be camped on Crusoe Island, so anyone who's down Jumpinpin way is welcome to call in to say gidday
Not sure how our son will get his tinny out there but he assures us he will find a way.
You know the old saying "Look ma.... no hands"
Yes, the pushbike did it
thought by now bev, after watching pete glassing and all that you could have at least put a fibaglass cast on him, bit of flowcoat and it wont matter if it got wet. Also didnt take you for the violent type
cheers
blaze
Fibreglass would be great.... but it'd be a bit hot while it was going off
LOL, he can't blame me for it, he was about 40kms away when he did it... first I knew was when he rang from the local doctors surgery wanting a lift to X-ray. There's never a dull moment around here
Boats are often easier than kids!!!!
