we may have to get Kev to go around and cook them up a feast so we can get an update?
I can just see Bev and Ross saying "well if we wernt doing all this sanding and had some finger tips left we would do some up dates, so any one got any finger tips to lend us as our are worn out, ah and a bit of sleep would help too".
    cheers

I suppose, like most things, it is far quicker to tear something down thatn it is to build it up. Especially when there is fury in the destruction phase, and passion and perfection in the building phase.

For me I'm happy to wait - the quality of each stage is worth learning about, unless Bev posts and says after three or so weeks, well "Ross is taking a break so no pics for a few more days / weeks"

    I may just die

Yesterday we went to a family gathering for Mothers Day.... and I got growled at by a brother-in-law and a nephew-in-law because there have been no updates!

And now I come on here to do an update and find all these messages I didn't realise were here..... have just read page 29 of this thread for the first time... LMAO... you guys are hopeless

Any wonder Kev came down here on Saturday... [smiley=whip.gif] ... and told me I better get an update on here soon!

Dominator & GAD - welcome to the thread

Sam - Blaze was right. Ross' present was a windlass (anchor winch) Thanks for the warning about Rudy's... and the offer to give us some hints for hassle free usage... we've actually chatted about this before when I asked about the one we were planning to buy.

Iain - I've had a look at your Seafarer Viking. Welcome to the world of boat rebuilds. What a wuss.... going with 2 pak

Catchy Fishy - there will be no hints of the project-plan... you will just have to wait in suspense for the updates

UPDATE - coming to a screen near you shortly

    Day 109 - 111 More sanding!

Day 112 - Fibreglass mate visited, did an inspection and gave the deck it's final polish

Later in the day Ross had a change from sanding and did some woodwork.

    Day 112 - 117

Woodwork... YAY... you can really see some progress when doing something like this again after all that boring sanding.

Cut out boards for side pockets, centre berth and floor hatches.... routed and sanded off edges where needed.... coated each piece with resin.

Here they are on day 118 halfway through being flowcoated

And Play-Pen was masked up and flowcoated

Glass mate turned up mid afternoon to spray the white flecking

Glass mate & his family stayed on for BBQ dinner.... and Kingtin & his crew cruised in for dinner and an overnight stay.

Menu for the food addicts - Steak, Potato pie, Fried rice, Pasta salad, Coleslaw, Pumpkin, pinenut & rocket salad and Cheese & Bacon bread.

    Day 119 - Mother's Day

Kev got hold of my camera and took these shots for all you addicts

Hey Kev, thanks for the prawns you left me for my Mother's Day lunch [smiley=heart.gif]

You didn't miss anything.... I was only a lurking member then. I think when this thread started I had only posted about 6 times.

Hmmm.... I am hoping for Queen's Birthday weekend on the water.... Ross says it may be after that

Glad you're feeling better blaze Any good boating weather down your way yet?

I reckon over 70% of the credit has to go to Ross.... so I bought him a little gift for Mothers Day

Colour TV with 2.5in LCD Screen... now he'll be able to watch the fishing shows while he's out fishing
