Boats used in the fishing competition

    Hi
I just want to find out what sort of boat it is that they used in the fishing competition on TV, the boat is without the roof (if that's how you call it), and in the front end it's like a platform with carpet on, and they usually stand on that platform for fishing the lures. The TV show was on Channel 9, a while ago, with Starvo in it, does anyone knows what those boats are?? Coz I am thinking to buy one of it, as I never had a boat before! thanks!

    Thanks for the replies guys!

"Finga" I think that is the one! I have seen one on the "Modern fishing" mags this month's issue, at the last 2 pages, they said it's bass fishing boat(which "Scoocer" mentioned), from the States, but the one they have seems for freshwater only, do you know how much it costs, I mean the one that you showed me in the link.

    Hi Whereisthefish,

There are quiet a few brands of boats that you are asking about. The most common of the imported models from the states are the Skeeters,Stratos, Nitros.

Aussie built versions include the HainsHunter prostriker as mentioned in above post,Attack boats and the Southwind stealth and Tenansee Bass boats.

These all are serious boats with serious pricetags.Base models with minimum horsepower will cost $36000 and above. When you deck these boats up and put larger donks you will be looking to anything up to $55000-$70,000.

These boats are great to fish from and i have been lucky enough to fish from Skeeters, nitros and aProstriker. All have + and - but all are great to fish from. If I had the money I would definately have 1 but for now I will stick to aluminium.

Definately organise a test ride in 1 with some of the dealers about. AFC are doing filming very soon for the next TV series and if you are there when filming maybe you might be lucky and get a test ride.

    Cheers
    Aaron

Aaron I did some research on the web for the brands that you've given me, Skeeters is actually having their dealership in Australia now, Nitro has a delaer down at the coast, but Nitro, I couldn't find anything yet, they are really beautiful boats, with all the equipment for fishing...........
Have to work harder to get the money
