    Fuel tank fittings

    I am fitting a 1/2 in male fitting to a stainless steel fuel tank.What is the best tape or other stuff to put on the thread so it doesn't leak.........all suggestions welcome

    Don't use tape as the fuel will disolve the tape and this could lead to problems futher down the track.I have used a sealer(glue) that is designed to be used with fuel.Cant help you with the name of it as it is long gone.You could try asking a couple of mechanics or try some of the better auto stores.

    The local Marine mechanic uses STAG cheap for a tube...works wonders..

    use the loctite.... Great stuff, do it right first time
