    Seabug,

How true mate. I cant afford to scrimp on good seating for my boat any more, however I was a bit shocked to see the price. Will have a look at these Bolsters, thanks mate.

    Geday Stu ,
Those Seaspension pedestals look the goods .

Years ago I had a Captains Chair , it was great , similar setup with a shockie & outer spring .
When you ordered them they could up the rating on the spring to match your weight .
Pity it went when I sold the boat & they aren't made anymore .

Do you see that Seaspension are in Florida .
I tried to send them & e-mail to see if the import to Australia & get some more Info , but it didn't get through as I hadn't added my phone number . ( might give it another go tomorrow , after I check the details on the pedestal in my boat ).

Please let me know if you find out anymore about them .
    Thanks

    Geday Stu ,
    Sent you a PM .
After that I found a currency converter in Ausfish - Products for sale .
    The current rate is -
    1 x US Doller = 1.26419 Aus Doller .

    $ 475 US = $600.45 Aus

    Talk to you soon

    hi mate
got the soft riders in my haines, picked em up second hand cheap and i havent had to stand up in the rough stuff since, they take the sharp shock out beautifully and the height gets you up over the top of the screen if you need to, dont think i could go back to the standard ones, soooo good.

Smelly, In case you didn't notice, brettski is goneski for being a tosski.
Give a man a fish, and he'll eat for a day. But ,flogging him into submission will result in him taking up crabbing.... and once he gets a taste of that sh*t, well, he may never return again.

    Stu,

poverty pack suggestion, not sure how you are setting up your boat, but on my Mclay my seats were mounted on top of Poly eskys. Deck was checkerplate so no give but I reckon the Poly really helped as a shock abosorber. I know I am going that way again if setup another boat of my own. Used a gas pedestal on Damo's JBS, not sure what brand and was not impressed at all. Think they are better for lightweight blokes.
