Nah Smelly has to have it right only took him 6 days of trying.
Then took 5 seconds once he turned the impellor right side up.
A marriage licence should be like your fishing licence!
Expires every year and you get a 3 day pass when you go interstate.

HI guys - had my fun in the sun wiht wife and kids - went swimming and the kids collected starfish in a bucket while I lay on the sand - basking like a beached (skiny) whale......

Back for 10 mins, then I have to go out with family again...for dinner, etc...what a drag.....

    Now...

Rat - your effort in editing those cutouts (water pump) is really appreciated - thanks - I will relay my steps..

I remember, as does GUTS and BM, the trouble I had with installing the new impellor - due to my ignorance only - not fully understanding impellor shaft hole.

Dont undertand when u say - lay vanes OVER on the impellor.

I did not need to rotate shaft as I closed the housing on top of the impelllor.

I made note of which way the previous impellor vanes were biased - with repect to that woodruff hole in the impellor iteself - and slid the impellor housing over top of impellor vanes. THe housing was slid and rotated the same way the previous vanes were orientated..

Can u tell me how water is dispersed from the exhaust ports?
Where does this water come form?

Can anyone advise what makes water disperse from exhaust ports?
How does this water get there?

If you rotate the shaft clockwise, the impellar will fall into place with the vanes facing the right way.
I am not saying that yours is not right, but it would be difficult to do without rotating the drive shaft.
Are you going to take the leg off and check the pump and water flow up the water tube

What happened there? extra water pressure from mains? can you elaborate.

    cheers fnq
THat is correct - new stats/head gaskets but no gear engagement (so only idle).

I tested donk out after new stats went in - with muffs at home in idle only - no warning siren.

THen I took it too ramp and tested. No siren - until that mob of seaweed came and ruined my day..

The exhaust ports, are they, the two holes on the back of the leg?

With the water pressure at home you could run all day with no impellar in the pump, and you would not even notice

    Rat -

Step 24, page 28( of thread) is significant - I do not recall doing this step..I did not rotate drive shaft at all to engage pump...

That step 24 is to make the vanes sit correctly in the pump body

    Good point.

I also ran donk in a tub of water - without any mains pressure..and without warning horn going off.
