    Lungfish

    this is a pic of a lungfish that i caught and released in the upper parts of the Brisbane river just outside of kilcoy while camping on private property. I was using a red shimano rod and reel that i caught off the Toorbul boatramp while fishing for bream. I was also using live Guppies as bait as i was after a couple of eel-tailed catfish.

    i forgot to mention that the lungfish measured 1.12m from its nose to the end of its tail

    the lungfish is an indangered species mate if they are caught you must release them straight away. i was told if you are caught keeping one it is a $10000 fine.
