Went to kempsey again today to have a bash at the BASS and while a bit on the Quite side we did pick up a few although i was on a DUCK untill madday rolled one
first pic is one of my mate it want 38cm and all the fish were caught on soft plastics

next was the BASS that broke my duck for the day was VERY happy to see him to the boat

this was the biggest of the day and with only a rough measure it was around 45cm and was caught on 4lb fireline on a squggie on a gamma weedless jighead

this is my biggest bass of the day at around 40cm pulled out of some VERY snaggy country! caught on a berkly gulp

nice fish.did you catch anything besides bass.we cet them at home(coffs)in built up areas biggest to date 52cm and release all we catch.do you let many go even they are nice on the plate?

nah we release all our fish also but still alot of people that eat them but no thanks to that
i know the rivers biggest to date is a 57cm fork caught three years ago but as for me still waiting only 49cm to the fork so far and that was a gleanbourne

I've caught a 48 and a 45 at Nelsons Wharf from the bank, caught a couple in the low 40's in the Glenrock area too. There is some great Bass in the Macleay, that's for sure!!
