    King salmon

Hi everyone. I have a fish picture! My brother caught this king (aka Chinook) salmon the other day on the lake front (Lake Michigan). I'm afraid the picture isn't super detailed but I wanted to let you guys see a fish that we target. It's a smaller male around 20 inches or so. The big ones are the females. They average 15 pounds and a really good one would be about 30. None of those so far.

Never ceases to amaze just how big those lakes are. Lake Winnipeg is just a pup beside that an it must be 400-500km long and 50-100km wide!

Yeah, you're right Lordy. The Great Lakes are really amazing. The glaciers that made them during the ice age must have been unbelievably huge. Kind of scary to think about it sometimes. If it happened once, it can happen again. I hope it doesn't happen any time soon. We would have to buy really big ice augers to do ice fishing during and ice age, I'd think. Brrrrrrrrr.
