Look closely in attached photo and you'll see about 3+ m dinosaur sitting in 1.5 m of water about 2 m in front of me. This was in a small creek you could just about jump across in western Cape York - sure got me to redefine my personal definition of 'croc habitat' for that part of the world - I was surveying this creekas part of a study for a mining company who had issued us with Job Saftey Analysis (JSA) notebooks which we were meant to fill out if job saftey conditions change - spotting this fella in the water at such close range sure got my notebook out!!
Be aware if sweetwater fishing in the Cape - there are some bloody big 'swallomagotchas' living in some small creks up there!
