Gday mate, my cousin owns a big property right on the Herbert and we often do canoe trips down the Herbert for barra jcks and black bream. Good fun though water levels are a bit low at the moment. Was up there 3 days ago and the river was just strating to come up a bit.
Have seen some big lizrds in there so you want to be careful ewspecially this time of year with breeding and all. Have even seen bull sharks right up the top. Next time you are gfoing PM me
