    Glenlyon & Border Rivers

Went for a drive to Cod country the other day to catch up with a few mates and have a flick for some of those pretty little green fish..... we where not disappointed . Myself and the best decky in the world had a few hrs on Glenlyon on the arvo we got there.... had a bit of a flick at a few likely looken spots.... but most of the good spots were smothered in heavy weed...... so decided to hit a litle snag where i got trashed last time down there...... and yep the big girl was still there.... but she could not smash the heavier spinner bait this time..... after around 10 or so casts 95 cm of cranky Cod was testing out the little Daiwa Alphas 103 and the E Grell B4-6 .... started to think i was gunna be under gunned again with the 15 lb braid but it hung in OK and after a few minutes she was the inviro net. Off to the river on the next day to chase some small water Cod in the Yak ... we scored 10 average cod in around 3 hrs on the water..... and 8 Cod and 2 yella's in around 3.5 hrs the next day.

Hi all! new to site. Nice fish McCod .Think i've meet you at the park? Used to fish Glenlyon years ago back in the late 80's and early 90's. Was good fishing back then. lots of big yellabelly's and the odd Cod
Caught a funny looking thing that looked like a carp. Not the Uro carp! Not sure what type ? Just love natives!
