    I caught this out at Tinnaroo the other day!

    It was caught on a jackal and wieghed 13kg!

    Up in QLD, It's one of the big barra dams there near Cairns. We were fishing for Barra but caught the Yella next to the big snag behind in the pic.

    My mate sux at taking pics and cut me head off the dik!

    It's a lure dude. One of those Jap bass lures but usually the Barra like them to, but not this time, the yella got to it first. Never heard of a Yalla going that big before!

    Your name, and details of where in Tinaroo it was caught - then I might just beleive you . Never the less, thats a cracker of a Golden.

    Caught in Tinnaroo? That ain't no golden perch.

    Looks like a carp, but still not likely if caught in Tinnaroo. A bit tropical up there for goldens or carp.

    Have to agree with you cq freshie. Saved and enlarged the photo, looks suspiciously like a barbell on either side of the mouth.

    Plus the shape seems all wrong for a golden perch even a big fat sassy one.

    I'd want to see better closeups to make a final decision.

    funny ha ha thats one hell of a carp and id say its from england as ive only ever seen them that big from there ,they have prized lakes full of them and are released .great try cheers bdowdy

    I was speaking to him on the phone last night as I wanted to ask him some questions about catching those goldens. his name is Harry Watson he said he is a famous fisho? never heard of him myself!
