Re: Solo in The Everglades (Noosa)
It's a beautiful part of the world, isn't it. Probably the closest thing to a pristine waterway we have in SE Queensland. Thank god the only way there is by boat or a roughish track (or walking!). I would hate to see it swamped by visitors. I hope the backpackers never put it on their itiniaries.

Re: Solo in The Everglades (Noosa)
I am always shocked when These sorts of waterways don't produce that many fish, They are relatively un-fished. Maybe you need to keep changing lures until you find the right one, might be only used to eating one particular food source as they are abundant? Don't really know though, just know that when you fish these great looking places they often disapoint on the fish side!! What do you all think? Sean

Hey sean you could be right but they are there like most fish the right conditions the right lure and a little luck and it can be on, the other time you need a little TNT

Good stuff Tropicaltrout.
With scenery like that, who needs to catch a fish.
Catching fish is only part of the art of relaxing and having a good time.

Sean, I think it's probably because the few remaining naturally wild populations of bass are much less concentrated than the introduced populations that probably overcrowd some of our more 'developed' streams. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with having lots of bass in our streams but under those circumstances competition for food must be way more intense.
